We believe the humane treatment of domestic pets is an intricate
part of the quality of life in our community, both physically and
emotionally, for its citizens, and a valuable tool in teaching our
children compassion. Part of this humane treatment means being able
to provide care for all animals from the moment they are taken into
care until the moment they are
adopted
For many rescued animals, foster care could mean the difference
between life and death! If you become part of our Foster Care
Program you might be the person who makes that difference for pets
that cannot be adopted right away. There are times when Best Friends
of Baker, Inc., has no adoptive home available for a pet.
Unfortunately, some animals that are brought to us are sick, too
young, or not socialized enough to be adopted.
Becoming a part of the Foster Care program is a way for you to make
a difference in the life of a Baker County animal that can’t be
placed up for adoption immediately. If you are interested in
fostering or would like more information about the program, please
complete the application or call 541-519-7387, or e-mail us at
